CAPABILITY STATEMENT PROJECT
The ANAMBRA STATE ASSOCIATION WOMEN IN USA INC. also known as the
ASA WOMEN USA is a registered 501 (c) (3) non profit organization for
charitable purposes.
The organization’s objectives are:
1. To promote health awareness, education, and empowerment of women and youth in the USA and in Nigeria.
2. To provide the availability and accessibility of healthcare to indigent women with cancer & Maternal health issues in Nigeria.
In a bid to achieve their objectives to provide accessible, quality and affordable healthcare to the indigent members in Anambra State and the nation at large, the ASA WOMEN USA embarked on a capital project- to establish an International Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Anambra State, Nigeria and to enroll the Indigent Anambra Women with Cancer & Maternal Health Issues in the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme. Consistent with ASA Women USA mission and legacy project, the organization is seeking for Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) funding for
the establishment of the International Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Anambra State, Nigeria.

ASA Women USA. Inc. Legacy Project @GlobalGiving is the Healthcare Access to Indigent Women in Nigeria. Our project focuses on providing life-saving enrollment of one hundred Indigent Anambra Women with Cancer & Maternal Health Issues in the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme for a minimum of five years and support the establishment of the International Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Amichi Diocesan Hospital, Anambra State, Nigeria.
Through this project, we have enrolled seventy Anambra Women with Cancer & Maternal Health Issues in the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme; and established a Memorandum of Agreement with Diocesan Hospital Amichi, Nnewi South, Local Government Area, Anambra State toremodel and renovate the existing wing of the hospital and get the Cancer Centre running within a time frame of five years.
ASA Women USA engages in fundraising activities through GlobalGiving Campaigns; Grants; 5K Walk/Run for Hope & Fight to End Cancer.
Funds raised are earmarked as follows: 65% of Funds raised will go towards the establishment of the International Comprehensive Cancer Centre; while 35% of funds will enroll more Anambra Women with cancer & maternal health issues in the yearly Anambra State health insurance scheme for a minimum of five years; provide cancer awareness; advocacy and education.

Since its inception in 2011, ASA Women USA in collaboration with her partners have provided the following services:
• Provided biennial Cancer & Maternal Health Medical Missions to 27 towns in Anambra State, Nigeria. Medically treated over 25,000 underprivileged men, women, children & physically challenged Individuals in Anambra State and sponsored the hospital bills of over 150 successful Cancer & Maternal Health Post Medical Mission Surgical patients in Anambra State.
• Provided yearly Cancer Awareness, education & advocacy through their annual 5K Walk for Hope & Fight to End Cancer in USA & in Nigeria.
• Donated Diagnostic Equipment, such as GE AMX4 Portable X-ray Machine, Pulse Oximeters etc. to General Hospital Onitsha, Nigeria for sustainability of the programs.
• Donated funds for Breast Cancer to Betty Lou Ourisman Breast Health Center at Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Treatment Center at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, Washington D.C & to NAPPSA Charity Care.
• Donated funds to Anambra State Covid-19 Support Funds for palliative needs.
• Created a Community Adoption Project Partnership Program (CAPPP).
• ASA Women USA Cancer Coalition’s CAPPP initiatives aim to engage members of our various communities in supporting our project on strengthening health systems through Availability & Accessibility of healthcare to indigent women with Breast & Cervical Cancer in Anambra State, Nigeria.
• Adopted & enrolled 70 (Seventy) Anambra Women with Cancer & Maternal Health Issues from 38 communities in the Yearly Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme for their primary healthcare needs in 2021.
• ASA Women USA ongoing Legacy Project @GlobalGiving on Healthcare Access to Indigent Women in Nigeria.
